Connections
Connection Troubleshooting
Resolve common WooCommerce authorization, callback, Odoo authentication, and location-mapping problems.
WooCommerce problems
| Message or symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| Missing store_url | Enter a store address in the Connection form before submitting. |
| Invalid WooCommerce store | Confirm the URL is correct, WooCommerce is active, and the REST API is reachable from the internet. |
| Authorization denied | Start the connection again and approve Read/Write access on the WordPress authorization page. |
| Missing credentials | Repeat authorization; the callback did not receive both generated credentials. |
| Invalid state parameter | Restart from Synco instead of reusing an old callback URL. |
| Credentials failed validation | Reconnect the store and confirm the approving WordPress user can manage WooCommerce. |
| Connected but no automatic events | Reconnect to let Synco register webhooks again, then review sync status. |
The callback must be reachable over public HTTPS. Local development stores need a secure tunnel, but production stores should use their normal HTTPS domain.
Odoo problems
| Message or symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| All fields are required | Supply the store, server, database, user, and password/API key. |
| Odoo authentication failed | Check the exact database, login, and password/API key. Confirm the user is active. |
| Could not reach Odoo | Verify the server URL, TLS certificate, firewall, reverse proxy, and Odoo availability. |
| No databases listed | Wait for discovery, check server reachability, or enter the exact database name manually. |
| Company/location drawer is unavailable | Save and verify the Odoo connection first. |
| Location creation fails | Confirm the Odoo user can create stock locations in the selected company. |
Store selection and authorization
Synco rejects configuration changes for stores the signed-in user does not own. If a page opens the wrong store, use the store selector and repeat the action with the intended site.
Safe recovery sequence
- Stop automatic sync for the affected resource.
- Verify WooCommerce and Odoo connections.
- Confirm company, location, direction, and mapping settings.
- Run one manual item.
- Inspect its job details.
- Re-enable automation only after the manual result is correct.
